Blog Feedback

Here's some feedback on your blogs:

Natasha 10 - excellent notes
Emily 0 - please sort this out!!! you have no content on your blog!
Alex  3 - this has not been improved at all! This is not up to the standard required at AS level
Abigail 10 - excellent notes
Sam -10 excellent notes
Steph - 10 excellent notes

As you can see some students have done really well with their notes.
Some of you need to improve in order to get a good grade out of this course.
if you are not getting 8-10  for your work you are likely to get a poor grade!!

Emily and Alex please come and see me.

Natasha Dillow Feedback

Generally some good information here and quite a good style of presentation but it needs to be broken down into sub pages and linked together.  This long page of information is not the style that the examination board will be looking for.

So break it into smaller pages and link it.  There did not seem to be enough detail at the moment and some more use of articles from external sources will improve this.

Currently it is D/E as it is not the style and detail needed for AS level.

Sam Warrens Feedback

Some excellent pages, very well designed but with some issues about content and navigation.

Some sections eg cultural factors are not as well done as others.

Social factors is a bit hard to find the hyperlink, but has a good layout and style.
Measures to close the gap is a bit too brief it needs examples and more of a paragraph style of writing.
Some sections are missing so this needs to be sorted out.

Some excellent design ideas but the detail and use of external articles needs to be improved.
Currently B/C overall (but A/B for work so far)

Abigail Watling Feedback

Wow Abigail this is very very impressive!!

Some well laid out pages and some excellent use of articles and comments.

Apart from the missing section at the end this is all pretty much perfect.

Current grade B overall (for pages so far A)

Emily Courtier Feedback

Emily this has been a pleasure to see your website in progress and i am very impressed with how your website skills have improved.

You have not included the pictures when you gave in this work so I can't get the full effect, but the text so far is good.

However you have not included all the sections necessary yet so I cannot give an overall high mark.

For pages so far A/B, overall so far C/D

Alex O Toole feedback

Alex the text content is fine as a starting point but it is obvious that you have just copied and pasted the text from word to dreamweaver and that is not enough quality for AS Level.

You need to be creating separate pages that link together to link the articles and topics.

Remember to do this in future and you must put more effort even into a first draft of coursework.
Currently this is a U (ungraded)

Liam Heard feedback

Well done Liam, this is up to your usual good standards (for some of the pages, not the missing ones!!!) and you have taken on board previous comments about including more articles as evidence.

You could probably add some more detail to your comments about the articles to improve this.

However there are about 2 sections not loading at all!!  And i can't give marks to work that is not there so.

Currently the overall mark is C/D (for pages so far A/B)

Please improve

Steph Woodward feedback

Your work is good and for a first draft is fine.  However as before we need to have more evidence of external facts and opinions eg from articles from the bbc website.

Currently it is C/B overall as it needs more detail.  Some of the navigation is tricky eg you can go to a page and then there are no hyperlinks to easily get back without using the back browser button.

Good work so far but obviously some improvements are needed (for pages done so far B)
